Ive just been to my last ever parents evening at my school.
Ive been to see all my teachers and they said ive been doing well and ive been predictied b/c and d/e for maths as i am in the lower group.
But problem is art. I went to see my art teacher and ive done worser than ever as i am on a low c in my current coursework, which is my mock exam from last year. This has seriously hit me down low.
Ive got my real art exam coming up in April and im getting the paper in about 2 weeks.
I seriously need motivation towards drawing agian as if you look at my art thread and my DA page (link down below) ive not updated them for a good few months. I want to get up to a B/A has i am currently on a high C in food and there my two best subjects.
Ive also got lots of unfinshed work in my harddrive (including NM's picture he ask me to colour and that was going back a few months) but ive got no motivation to finsh them off.
All i want to ask you lot here, what can i do to get some motivation back into drawings? I want to get a good mark for the end of my exams

Uh, I don't know, because I'm rubbish at Art.
Not the best advice you'd want to hear, but meh.

well i can't draw but I am good at 3D sculptures so I'll give it a go. I usually get myself into the mood I'm trying to portray. Example: If I wanted to make something that looked angry I would likely think of something that get's me mad. Same goes for many other emotions that won't cause long term physical harm. I must advise against doing pain though. That one may cause physical harm if you find thinking about it doesn't get you into the mood. I also find music helps. Make it look like what you see in your minds eye when you listen to the music. Example: I'm as I type this Listening to The Battle from Gladiator. I was lucky enough to hear this song before I knew about Gladiator and thus didn't have a vision of a Roman army vs. Bararian horde. Instead I had the image of two armies facing off in a Star Wars style battle (Hey I was playing EAW when it happened) with ground vehicles and fighter craft dogfighting over head. Suddenly something about like the worms off dune rears its head out of the middle of the field. The fighter craft go flying up it sides as suddenly both armies make a hasty truce and decide it is wiser to fight the new threat. Now you just take an image like that draw it and you've got a work of art unless your in one of those art classes where they want a woman to look like she was made out of pieces from different magazines. That's when I give up and go to a sculpture class. I presume none of that helped but at least I can saw I tried.

your a greta artist. What you need is something to draw that will challenge you. When you overcome that challenge then you will be motivated to draw more.

I wouldn't risk facing a big challenge - If it beats you, it'll make you feel worse. Challenges are gambles - Don't risk it. Instead, follow Juggernaut's advice - Find something that inspires you. Like stories, movies, and best of all, music. Those work a treat. Try to portray the way your imagination depicts things, give things a deeper quality - I'm not sure how seeing as I ain't much of an expert, but just try to take yourself to a deeper level.
