Yep, I'm in a Health class, which is only a little different from Psychology. ^_^ I have to write this paper today on MY health. Yep, that's right. So if you wanna read about me, be my guess. I just like typing on here so much more than on Notepad or Word Processor. XD ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MY HEALTH PATTERNS My name is Brittany, I'm 17 years-old and this is my health patterns. Overall, I am fairly healthy. I've never been hospitalized, never had any type of surgeries. I don't have any major allergic reactions and I haven't caught any serious illnesses. However, I do have some physical problems that are common to man; and they're quite easy to notice. Ever since I was 7 years-old, in the 1st Grade, I have had to wear glasses. Not a exactly something most people would call a health problem, but my actual eyesight is pretty close to blindness. To give you a visual idea, think of the eyechart your eye doctor always makes you read. The "E" is always top, right? Well, even that enormous letter is blurry for me. I am thankful that glasses are available today. Without my glasses, I'd be lost--and I mean that! Only a year after getting glasses, I developed a problem common to teenagers. I was only 8 years-old when I started breaking out with severe acne. Most children do not develop acne so early, but I had the right genes for it. Both my parents have acne and I just happened to get a double dosage of it. I have acne on my face and I also have it on my back and shoulders. Through most of my teenage years, I've suffered the painful breakouts. I tried all sorts of professional acne cleansers and nothing seemed to work for me. However, I have finally found the treatment I needed. A year or two ago, my mother suggested I try something that works from the inside. We went to a determotologist, found out what I what could use without allergic reactions and he perscribed Amoxicillin. This medicine has greatly affected my severe acne and my skin hasn't been this clear in years! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll add more a little later. I have to go eat lunch real quick so I can take my medicine. ;] NOTE: additions will be in red.

Lol, Haunter. XD Glad you think it's going good. Blaze, you don't have to sound so sorry for me. Afterall, i'm not ashamed of it--these things are a part of me, as well as the things I will write about in a minute. They all make up your loveable FM5. ;] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MY HEALTH PATTERNS My name is Brittany, I'm 17 years-old and these are my health patterns. Overall, I am fairly healthy. I've never been hospitalized, never had any type of surgeries. I don't have any major allergic reactions and I haven't caught any serious illnesses. Through most of my teenage years, I've suffered the painful breakouts. I tried all sorts of professional acne cleansers and nothing seemed to work for me. However, I have finally found the treatment I need. A year or two ago, my mother suggested I try something that works from the inside. We went to a determotologist, found out what I could use without allergic reactions and he perscribed Amoxicillin pills. This medicine has greatly affected my severe acne and my skin hasn't been this clear in years! Now, let's move onto actual health patterns themselves. I am a clean person, someone who is cautious about germs. I hating getting sick even though my colds are not very serious. I wash my hands thoroughly to keep from getting sick or, if I'm ill all ready, to prevent others from getting a cold. I like my environment to be sanitary even if it's a little disorganized. As much as possible though, I like to be organized and I like knowing where everything is. I like staying physically clean, too, especially since my skin pores create more oil. I also wear clean clothes and deoderant. It may seem simple and something everybody knows, but believe me, not everyone does...
I believe I have fairly good eating habits. My family and I eat home cooked meals on a regular basis instead of eating out. We eat a lot of meat and vegetables. I tend to drink a lot of sweet tea and Coca-Cola, though. I have a very strong sweet tooth and, I believe, I've become addicted to sugar or caffeine. I will get a headache if I go too long without one of these beverages. Despite that, I am slender. I'm only 5' 3.5", so my weight is perfect between 110 and 120 lbs. I will admit I have an odd habit of getting overly involved in what I'm doing and, sometimes, forget to eat. Also, strangely, I drink very little. Though my choices of drinks aren't always healthy, I don't drink much of them anyways. I just don't need as much to drink as most people--a full glass could last me half a day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not done, I'm just seeing how far i've gotten on paper... ;]

You think 6' 2" is tall? My cousin Daniel is 6' 4". Beat that, shorty! XD Lol, just kidding. I know I'm short though. I've been this tall for AWHILE. I'm not getting any taller. And, my acne is constant too, but it gets worse sometimes. Well, it used to. ;] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MY HEALTH PATTERNS My name is Brittany, I'm 17 years-old and these are my health patterns. My family and I eat home cooked meals on a regular basis instead of eating out. We eat a lot of meat and vegetables. I tend to drink a lot of sweet tea and Coca-Cola, though. I'm also a sucker for candy. I have a very strong sweet tooth and, I believe, I've become addicted to sugar or caffeine. I will get a headache if I go too long without sugar or caffeine, I'm not sure which one. As I mentioned above, I don't have any major allergic reactions, but I do react mildly to certain things. Before I was prescribed Amoxcillin for my acne, I tried a different pill my mother uses for her acne. It's called Minocycline. After only one pill, it gave me a minor rash up my arms; little red spots everywhere. I'm not a huge fan of eating fruits, but I do enjoy Cantaloupe and Honeydew, two members of the melon family. However, after eating them several times in my life, they now give me an itchy throat. Afterall, allergic reactions can get worse if what causes them are repeated. Last, but certainly not least, is dye in candies. There are a few types of candy I'm allergic to just because of the dye covering them--Robin Eggs near Easter time leaps to mind. Dye can give me sharp stomach cramps even after eating just one.
Excercise is important for the body, but I rarely do so. As I have gotten older, I've noticed I'm weaker than I should be. My arms have lost their muscle mass, my legs are not that durable and my knees are very fragile. I do not hate exercise at all, I just need motivation and time. Also, I have to be careful and not overdo it. If I overdo it, the left and right sides of my torso will ache. This has been happening ever since I was a child. To build my motivation and desire to exercise, though, it has to be more than a walk. I prefer dancing. Yes, dancing in my room alone is fun and gets me moving more than ever. I recently got weights that wrap around your wrists or ankles, too, so I can use those to workout. I hope to get more time exercise since I really do need it.
As I get older, I will have to be more careful than I am with my health. With my gene history, I am more prone to later have diabetes. Also, since my skin is pale and fair, I must keep out of the sun as much as possible. I am at high risk for melanoma, a type of skin disease. I need more excercise, definitely, to strengthen my body and heart too. I will do my best to stay as healthy as I can.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, I'm done! ^_^ Now I just gotta check it and then print it. Viola! ;]

No-one in our family gets acne, but all the girls are short. Heh, don't worry about those things. They're not important. I'm not allergic to anything except biological washing powder, but I have got a major frizz problem!
Don't let those things get on your mind, Fm5. Be happy with who you are. It's what makes you unique! ^_~ That's my average cheer up message. I'm not very good at cheering people up... >_<

6'4"?! Holey cow! *runs and hides*
Oh, and about the exersize thing, you should try a treadmill. Start at about five minutes and increase it at your own rate, it should help you with endurence, but you will still have those side aches (stomach cramps, by the way) untill you get comforatable while doing it. I also recommend streaching....... Although don't take my advice. I just thought it might be helpful if you wished to work out more.
Just do yo thang gurl lol

Well Zigs had just reached 6.6ft tall, I think he's doing quite well for his health... As for me, I am the right height for my age. All the advice is good. Good work FM5, and don't worry too much (this goes for everyone), with friends like everyone on here, health is simply a bonus... ^_^

Lol, I am sorry about that. It's that I am not usually mr. clean in real life, so I consider that a clean word. I'll fix it.

Whoa, it seems my paper is a hit. XD Lol, thank you, everyone. Although, I must admit, I'm not worried really about my appearance or how I live my life. I simply am who I am and I don't have to change for anyone. Well, the only thing I would change is my exercise--I don't do much, so I probably should do more than what I do. Otherwise, I like me. I wouldn't take away even my flaws, they make who I am. ;]
