Well, I did it. I got up at 4:30 AM this morning made the trek over to GameStop and stood in line for about 4 hours to grab a Wii. I actually did manage to get one after a few complications.
Got in line, and I was 4th we waited there a while finally the manager comes up and starts to get the store ready. At 7:00 AM the store opens up and they tell us they have 6 Wiis in stock, we head inside and head over to the registers to grab one. Already a bad start as one of the cash registers is down so everyone has to wait for the one register to ring people up. They get one Wii sold and then the second person is writing a check for theirs when the power goes out. The power flashes a few times and then stays out. So we all have to trek back outside and let them lock up the store so no one steals anything and wait for the power to come back. (Apparently someone ran into a transformer knocking out power to GameStop, as well as Best Buy and Circuit City... Of all days on Black Friday)
Finally the power did come back on and I got my Wii as well as an extra controller and Nunchuck. Unfortunately unless I want to cough up the money for the system I have to wait 'till Christmas to get it.... It was a long morning

Awww... That must've sucked. >_< It's worse when it's there in front of you and you can't even play it. I feel your pain, DR. I hope you get one soon--and I hope I do too! :]
