I've been getting a little obsessed with the series Death Battle from Roosterteeth so I thought I'd put any DB talk here because it's fun talking about this kind of stuff, basically it asks the question of who would win if similar characters were to fight to the death for example Lara Croft Vs Nathan Drake, Sonic Vs Mario.
There's a number of rules these videos follow
1. Combatants possess no prior knowledge of each other unless specified by canon or otherwise.
To ensure a fair fight, all moral restraints from killing are ignored. All other traits are considered.
I.E - Mega Man won't know anything about Astroboy
2. A character's maximum potential is examined unless otherwise specified. Factors unrelated to the characters cannot end the battle.
3. All official material related to a character is applied unless found contradictory to original source material
Some ideas I had:
Simon Belmont Vs Geralt of Rivia (Castlevania Vs The Witcher)
Castiel Vs Balthazar (Supernatural Vs Charmed)
(I had him against Angel but someone on youtube suggested this and yeah this is
way better)
Billy Butcher Vs The Punisher (The Boys Vs Marvel)
And Willow Vs Sabrina (Buffy Vs Sabrina the Teenage Witch)
Genji Vs Yoshimitsu (Overwatch Vs Tekken)
Proxima Midnight Vs Big Barda (Marvel Vs DC)
But that's only part of what this thread is about, mainly it's just taking suggestions like these and have a chat about who you'd think would win in a fight to the death. I think it could be fun presenting different arguments like me and Haunter had over Genos Vs War Machine. I watched the preview for that fight and Genos might have a problem,
Death Battle seem to have given Rhodey a composite armor and the EMP works via touching him which Genos does and shocks himself. Also Rhodey's not the pushover we thought, he's fought red hulk and thanos, kept up with living laser who flies at the speed of light and then there's his armors like eldeon warwear which flies at intersteller speeds, can heal itself and it's user and sprout off different weapons which fire plasma and there is plasma three times hotter than the sun so considering it's nature it probably is
oh and did I mention, War Machine fought the Phoenix Force and lived. As in "Blows up planets for fun" Phoenix Force. I mean sure it knocks him out but still when the other guy can blow up planets that's still tough.
What I'm saying is Rhodey might just beat Genos.
BTW thinking about Loki Vs Dio. A lot of people on DB seem to want this and honestly I don't know why because Loki would destroy Dio, he's taken hits from the Celestials who are amongst the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe so honestly he'd just tank most of Dio's attacks or teleport to dodge them till he could work out the limits of Dio's powers.
Plus as mentioned below Loki once held all the magic on Earth and it took a staff made from the world tree and The Void for Dr Strange to take down Loki.
