Gotta admit, THIS concept is what I've been waiting for. And it's been teased that this game could see light in 2018. I'm so excited to finally put down my 3DS and pick up a Switch, with Pokemon making big waves on it in the near future. This is what we really wanted instead of Sun/Moon, am I right, fans? Can't wait! ^^ + Pokemon RPG Coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018?

I actually liked the S/M games, especially Ultra. I liked the different formula instead of it being gym to gym to gym. And the ride pokemon were awesome - a cool way to do away with HMs.
I don't have a switch. I have no room for a switch. Annoyingly, my favourite franchise is going onto switch.
I think a pure 3d adventure would be cool, though. I've always wanted one game with each region on it like a full blown rpg. Once you finish a region, box your pokemon and start again!

I actually don't have a Switch yet myself, but I'm in the saving process for one. There is soooooooo many great games already out on it - LoZ, Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and a couple ports I really loved from Wii U on it like Mario Kart 8 - and so I pretty much HAVE to have one.
And if(and it's a big IF but I'm hoping anyway)... IF Nintendo and GameFreak can make something like LoZ: Breath of the Wild, they can do something AMAZING with Pokemon as an RPG and blow our minds completely away. I honestly believe that this is what they really wanted all along when they made Pokemon Go - the 3D features there make it appear more like a Pokemon is there in front of you, and I think they loved the concept of walking up to a Pokemon you can SEE rattling through grass or running across a city rather than you just stepping on a coded square and it randomly appearing.
If they push a little further and really go for a more open-world concept with it, it could be the new formula for Pokemon entirely. A brand new age.
Because with Ultra, it appears they've finished a story arc that has been streaming for a LONG time - past 20yrs now. It was like coming to an end of a novel series, and now they're about to start on a new series within that universe. There's actually some fantastic YouTubers that have come to this same conclusion. I may post those. I actually will.
And then this one.
It's not that I didn't like Sun/Moon, but I believe I may have gotten only slightly disappointed because I was expecting the full reboot with it. What I mean is, I was expecting a complete overhaul formula. We DID get a new formula - the Trials and Poke Ride were a definite step in the right direction - but it wasn't in full.
Sun/Moon/Ultra were the test. Nintendo and GameFreak were being careful. Less careful than usual thankfully(with Ultra Beasts that were totally awesome) but still they were experimenting, making Sun/Moon/Ultra the BRIDGE to a new way of thinking for Pokemon. The Pokemon RPG that's coming.
And I am strangely very happy that the Switch is making the 3DS a thing of the past. The Switch as a console that is portable just makes so much sense. I have completely and thoroughly enjoyed my time with my 3DS, but it will be so nice not having to decide between it and my console - because, let's face it, as I've gotten older my 3DS became way more important to me than my console, maybe even simply because it COULD be played in my bed after a long day.
Putting the power of a console and being portable into the thing that is the Switch... There is just so many more possibilities with that. All of my games can feel more equal to me, something I can just pick up, and yes, lie down in bed and play. Because I'm getting older. And I'm lazy. XD ;]
I'm looking forward to this new chapter of Pokemon.

And now we know that this RPG is in fact Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee games, coming in Nov for 2018. That's only about a MONTH from now! And I'm hyped.
It won't be an overhaul, but it will be a combo of the classic Yellow and Pokemon GO features. A return to Kanto in a remastered way? Hell yes.
Love me some Kanto. ;]
There will be added Alola forms AND Dark/Fairy typings as well.
So, I'd like to pick Let's Go Eevee, and with that being said here is my more-likely team for this new version.
(I'd like to choose some mons I've not played with before so here's my chance!)
Start with: Eevee (Normal)
But I may opt to switch her out for another mon since she can't evolve, but we'll see!
1 - Alolan Ninetales (Ice)
2 - Alolan Persian (Dark) - I'll leave out if I still use Eevee.
3 - Alolan Raichu (Electric/Psychic)
4 - Clefable (Fairy) 5 - Alolan Marowak (Fire/Ghost)
6 - Scyther (Bug/Flying)
And that's IF I get to get Alolan Pokemon. but it's more than likely that won't happen, or if it does its later in the game, etc, etc.
So instead, might be...
1 - Ninetales (Fire)
2 - Scyther (Bug/Flying)
3 - Clefable (Fairy)
4 - Victreebel (Grass/Poison) - I'll leave out if I still use Eevee.
5 - Gengar (Ghost/Poison) - Because I only ever had the early Pokemon Red AND you had to TRADE to get Gengar. 6 - Dragonite (Dragon/Flying) Oddly, I never have made Dragonite a member of my fighting team... XD
I kinda hope I get to play with the Alolan forms version, BUT if I can't do that in this playthrough I may make it a point to use those in a playthrough on my Pokemon Sun (saving my mons on PokeBank and resetting).
Anxious to play Let's Go Eevee all the same! ^^

I'm picking up a copy for myself.

I know, right?! XD
And I'm so glad that they decided to honor us and the Switch with a revisit of Kanto. Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow is what launched Pokemon and to see it come fully to the home console like this is just AWESOME. Wanna play it on the TV? Super! Wanna play it in bed and be lazy? Great!
Just having these options is perfect. Truly. :3
We are going to get this game come Nov and next year the new Gen8. That's aces in my book!
(And I've always been a supporter of Nintendo... But let's face it, this time they are REALLY doin' it! The Switch is what we've been waiting for! ;D)

A REALLY late update, but I finished Let's Go Eevee and I just wanna say... It was awesome. Nicely done, GameFreak and Nintendo, I had a blast!
My postgame is being well spent catching shinies, which is easier than ever before. You might think that dampens them somehow, but for me it's actually a really cool goal BECAUSE...
I wanna catch 'em all! Every Pokemon, Shiny! :3
It's just a fun, casual, hunt-while-you-watch-TV kinda thing. Relaxing even. And I've caught a bunch so far. ^^
Pidgey - now Pideot Eevee Graveler - now a Golem I traded to friend Ray. :3 Onix Ponyta - now Rapidash (and probably my fav ride Pokemon on ground level) Charmander - now Charizard Chansey Clefairy - now Clefable Gastly - now a Gengar, and traded to Ray-Ray again.
So doing great!
Lickitung is next, and after that I may stick around in the caves for Ryhorn/Rhydon or skip for now to find Dratini. We shall see! ;]
