Ok, so we had Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire...
But what we were REALLY waiting for was the NEXT GENERATION in the series!

And we will finally have it in holiday time this year! ^^

But here's a [possible] leak concerning the new Starters.
May or may not be true, but looks pretty convincing to me, and our Youtuber here seems convinced as well. If so, I may end up with a Water starter this go around.
Crazy, I know.






I'll update more here if I find anything legit.
Otherwise there is just speculation going around for now!

Not spot-on accuracy for the art, but the CONCEPTS behind the starters for Sun and Moon are looking pretty certain!

The Japanese names have been supposedly leaked and imply:

A dark owl (Mokuroh)
A seal ball (Ashimari)
and a fire cat (Nyabby)

If that's the case then I'm going fire cat based upon this. But we'll see. Still waiting for that water/psychic dolphin.

I know, right? A dolphin would have been amazing for a starter.
Like I might have to make that my choice in Sun/Moon if they had it - but so far, I've never chosen a Water-type starter because they've never made one just where I scream 'GIMME!'

I steer mostly to Fire.
But in some cases I went Grass - ex.s are Turtwig and Snivy.

I could totally be down for a little Fire cat starter Pokemon, though.
That just sounds exciting!
But I really hope that they make all the starters and their last evolutions so cool that I have trouble picking! I don't like when it's an easy choice because 1/3 of the starters are just simply the obvious choice. XD

C'mon Sun/Moon! I know you can do this right! D:

I am so picking Rowlett! I love Rowlett it looks so frickin cute!

Litten looks a bit weird to me and Popplio just looks really bad. However, I believe we need to see the final stages before we do anything.

Also, Solgaleo looks epic as all hell! Lunaala looks terrible IMO.

I am so excited!
Rowlett looks adorable! Litten looks like a Fire/Dark type, and that would be pretty wicked as a starter. I agree, I need to see the last evolutions to make my choice, because I reeeeeally want to pick Rowlett if its last form is just as awesome. ^^
I feel that Popplio was weakly designed as well. But here's hoping the last form will redeem it some if not by far. XD

And yesssssss! Solgaleo is totally going to be my Legendary!
He looks totally awesome! I hope his abilities are too! ^^

New Sun/Moon Pokemon Battle Mechanics


Awesome. We're going to have the actual trainers involved in the battles on stage with their mons, which will feel a little more competitive and maybe more real. That's cool!

Looking forward to seeing what kind of stages we'll be battling on in the next gen!

I've seen a trailer that shows people on the sidelines actually watching your battles!

And I believe that rival for this region is going to have the starter weak to yours. If that's the case then I hope we get a rival who is strong against yours like Black and White. I don't want the games to get even easier.

They probably will have a rival(s) that are strong to our starter. They seem to have done that at least in the past.

And the extra audiences for Pokemon battles would be awesome! ^^

This was so good that I decided to make another post for it.
I had the BEST idea for us all to try in the next gen for Sun/Moon, and it's like playing a game within a game for us all to participate in!

Here's the game and rules!

POKEMON: MASTER CHALLENGE

- Sun & Moon Versions -

• When a Pokemon is KO'd, we consider it DEAD and have to place them in a Pokemon Box(we'll name it the DEAD BOX) to not be used again for the remainder of the game until AFTER we have successfully cleared the Pokemon League and have entered into the Hall of Fame!
• If a Pokemon is DEAD, we can't re-catch that mon and use it. If we encounter it again, we simply have to either defeat it or flee. No cheating!
• Starter Pokemon are IMMORTAL. If your Starter is KO'd, you can revive it at the Pokemon Center and continue using it.
• Legendary Pokemon are MORTAL, just like all other Pokemon except for the Starter you chose. If a Legendary has fallen in battle, you must sign it as DEAD and place it in your DEAD BOX.
• Pokemon hatched or traded are not allowed to be used in the Master Challenge - only Pokemon caught in your gameplay are allowed. This keeps the playing field on equal ground by not allowing near to perfect IVs/Egg Moves. Hidden Abilities are fair when caught on a Pokemon in the wild.
• At end-game, when those participating in the Master Challenge have completed the Pokemon League and have entered the Hall of Fame, the 6 Pokemon that lasted and were on your team will enter the HoF(Hall of Fame) BOX and those Pokemon will be the team you will use to battle your friends that have finished, too! Get fired up as you battle against the most unlikely teams that you and your friends bonded with and managed to conquer the Master Challenge!

Think of it! The purpose of this Master Challenge in the upcoming Sun/Moon versions for us playing would be to prolong our gaming experience, seek out all kinds of different Pokemon, play with Pokemon you may or may not have made your first choice as you struggle to stay alive, and actually feel victorious or defeat in our battles!
You come out on top with a Pokemon, you won the battle, but you lost one of your pals still in battle, you feel the agony or even anger as you put him in the DEAD BOX, and you seek out another to help you in your next hurtles. Exciting!

I think we should all do this! It would make the game so much more challenging and interactive! We could update everyone participating with snap pics of our current teams, and a look inside our DEAD BOX as we tell grueling tales about how they died!
It would be FUN! ^^

And at end-game, we face off in our own Pokemon Tourny with unexpected faces that we have had to master! With 700+ Pokemon, we could wind up with just about ANYTHING!

I wouldn't say disadvantage really. It won't be a race to the finish of the game, I just thought it would be cool to have the Hall of Fame teams set aside for us all to battle with and get a chance to see just exactly WHAT Pokemon we got handed. The adventure is going to be more of a challenge, and I'm totally psyched about it! ^^
