Just when I was beginning to WONDER about when the next LoZ game would be released...
You put this nice little sequence of footage in your E3 News.

LoZ is always a surprise, and the lore just gets more an more complex and interesting as it goes along.
This one has even MORE new and unique concepts - depicted right off the bat with a strange, mechanical insectoid of sorts shooting off lasers as Link [if it actually is Link - Nintendo might be sneaky on us] prepares to fight it off with an advanced bow and arrow.
The look of it all is... Totally beautifully, completely set in the type of fantasy world you'd expect in LoZ.
And seeing a new LoZ game always makes me happy that I am a Nintendo fan. :3

It has been confirmed to be Link. The odd thing is he is using the bow right handed.

It does look good. The art style is very pretty

I honestly believed to had to be Link, but crazy people on the internet made me wonder...
I'm glad it's Link, though, because otherwise it would be strange. XD

Most definitely looks beautiful.
I love the 'life' the world itself seems to have now. ^^

Well Aonuma said 'No-one said that was Link' and that raised a lot of suspicion. Also Link seemed to have a 'feminine' appearance so people were wondering if it was a female Link or like link's sister or something. Especially as canonically Link is left handed and he was using the bow right handed.

Timeline wise I suspect it to be between Skyward Sword and Ocarina of time or be before Skyward sword. Either that or in the future as Link seemed to have more high tech weapons.

Though based on the clothing style it looks like post windwaker. As his clothing is similar to pre-hero Windwaker link. However, he also has Gerudo-style bracers. It will be interesting to see.

Have you seen Hyrule Warriors? Looks pretty interesting. Dynasty warriors meets legend of zelda.

Yessssss, I agree with you there on all fronts.
I believe it to be Link, just looks slightly different for the time period.
The clothes and weaponry throws you off exactly WHEN this story will take place, but regardless it looks totally interesting. :3

Aonuma has since confirmed that it is Link. However, if you consider the fact that in a few games (most if I recall) you get to name the main character then it technically could be anyone

Exactly! And that was the point he was making.
Link is the persona, but he can be named anything if someone wanted to.

But when I play LoZ games, I always name him Link.
Any other name just isn't going to sit right with me. XD


But I can't wait to see more details as we progress towards next year with the release date. I can already tell it will be better than Skyward Sword - but I even liked that game fine, so it'll just be BETTER! ^^
