I'm surprised there isn't a thread on this yet.. Apart from being one of the ONLY decent roleplaying games on Gamecube (the other being the Wind Waker), it's an amazing game in itself. (But then again, I'm a sucker for anything with nice chardesigns, funny but deep character development and interactions, and pretty anime cutscenes. <3)
I bought it as a Christmas gift for my little sister last year, (on sale for $18 on Thanksgiving weekend~) but we didn't have much time to play together up till this week, since it's spring break. We finished half the game in the past three days. x] We started disc two on Saturday night and finished the game earlier today. But since we chose to go with the Kratos ending and skip most of the side quests, we're going to load our file saved outside of Flanoir and try to get the Genis and Zelos endings as well. :] (And *maybe* attempt the Abyssion thing. I'm not a big fan of tough battles though...)

there's different endings? please tell me more on this. For the most part, the endings are all similar. The main difference is that the 8th member of your team, toward the end of the game, can be either Kratos or Zelos. Only ONE of the endings lets you have Kratos; the other seven let you have Zelos. (My sister and I chose to go with the Kratos ending because we like him. n_n Even after the whole cool facade, he's such a sweet and awesome character... <3<3) Be warned though - the Kratos ending calls for a sacrifice earlier on. I cried. : ( The main determining factor in which ending you get is who you talk with the night you're waiting for Altessa to be healed, when you're in Flanoir (the snowy city.) The first three people to knock on your door will be the people with the highest affection points. Afterward, Kratos will call out. Depending on who you choose, several things will change -- who saves you later on, who gets kidnapped, who ultimately stays with you at the very end of the journey. Also, you find out a lot of things about the person you choose to talk to in Flanoir - background info that you can't find out otherwise. Gee. I'm so obsessed right now. ;

I suppose that means someone dies. Oh geez, that's sad! But, hey, I'm gonna give it a try next time I play. ^_^ Yeah, it's an AWESOME game. One of the best I own! I love RPG games. I like both Zelos and Kratos. I have ended with Zelos all the times I've played, so I'll try getting Kratos to sty next time. Should be rather interesting - as well as sad, since you mentioned crying. Abyssion? You gonna try that? ^_^ AWESOME! Here's a tip: be at least lvl 75 or above. Yeah, he's REALLY tough. Thankfully I beat him. Lol, what's funny is that I used the same file and got to lvl 100 for every character in my party. XD Lol, it's cool to see all the new attacks they can do at such high lvls - ESPECIALLY GENIS!!

Most good RPGs are for playstation, just as most good shooter games are for Xbox. Gamecube leans toward party games, which is why I was quite excited to see that they've begun licensing some roleplay games.
I may be buying Tales of Legendia soon, next in Namco's Tales series. :]

Yeah, I may buy Tales of Legendia too. ^_^ I mean, I rented ToS for a week and just had to have it! Like..I had njever heard of it and knew nothing about it. But once I was into it, I never came back out! ^_^ I LOVE this game. NM, Pyro, I bet you both would like it a lot.
Yeah, I'm lookin' forward to ToL too. I mean, I know nothing about it, but I'm still excited! ^_^

Gah. At the moment I'm a little frustrated. I went back to my old file, before the whole Flanoir incident, and saved Princess Hilda from Meltokio and all. She promised to give us a party, but it's not.. working... *Sigh* And I was looking forward to unlocking the pretty new outfits for everyone... The beach outfits won't work either, for some reason. I guess I could always just start a new file...
