Seen microsoft E3 recap? Then you'll know about the averters or should i say? ENHANCED MIIS!! Sorry but microsoft have gone way too far this time. They knew the averter idea was nintendo's and they stole it. I am sick and tired of hearing that little pig bill gates getting away with taking other's ideas and claiming them as he's own
EVEN THE REPORTERS ARE SAYING "They look too much like miis"
On top of that a rumour that microsoft are making a motion sensor controller. WHEN WILL THEY STOP??
Hate for this to be a rant thread becasue recently there's been for too much (and that's proberly my fault >_<) But intill now i've been able to stand the competative nature of microsoft to the point where i can release it in small bursts but all they've done is taken an idea that already fudging exsists and made it better.
It's like if i was to steal spear and then make him look like a cooler character, changing he's name then posing him as my own FanFic character.
(not that he could look cooler! ^_^)
Seriously i think we should sign a petition to tradeing standards complaing about this. I'm going to nintendo about this becasue i know they will be extremely furious to hear about this Obvious breach of copyright.
(Nintendo bought copyright on the mii or averter)

Microsoft are screwed. They've made TOO many enemies.
1) Other computer firms
2) Nintendo
3) Sony
4) Trading standards
Not to mention that most of the world says bill gates as a sort of darth vader of the gaming industry.

Excatly. I didn't use to care much because they won't last long. But to steal from other people?
Seriously i know he's done a lot for the world as well but he can't keep on managing the way he is, it's bullying and manipulating the computer industry, every time a company like microsoft comes around bill gates puts it into bankruptcy and buys it out.
He is the biggest bully in the world and nobody's noticing it.

He's just a good buisnessmen. if competitition arises he has to sqush it early before it becomes a threat lol. Though he is a bit of a bully. He doesn't always bankrupt them. Often he buys them out.

it's the same thing. You should help other companies that way they don't become a threat to you becasue it's easier to make an alliance with them.

But then again everyone copies everyone else.
PSP-advanced GBA
Apple- Touch screen and accelerometer- DS and Wii motion sensing.
Gamecube/Xbox copied Dreamcast's 4 slots on front of console.
Everyone copies everybody. Someone finds an awesome idea and everybody wants to make bags of money off of it. Unfortunatly you're gonna have to get used to it. That's the way business works. Of course, other companies can retaliate by sueing the other companies but we'll see about that.
Did anyone see the Nintendo conference? They're preaching to the wrong choir. No hardcore games shown-casual gamers don't watch E3, hardcore gamers(e.g. me) do. Animal Crossing is ok, but I reckon it's too late to make Wii speak compatiable with Brawl or Mario Kart.

Timewarp you'd last about five seconds flat if you owned a buisness. Bill Gates has only got to where he has today by buying out people with his money and owning a majority of the computer market. He has branched more hevaily into gaming with the X-Box brand and has become even more powerful.
DId you know that Nintendo started off as a trading card game company? Look how far they've got today. They have not made allies with other companies. They have tried to dominate the market with new technology i.e the wii and DS. They are doing pretty darn well.
I agree with PT. everyone steals off everyone.
Bill gates stole the idea of a small computer from Apple. It was how he started really raking in money when IBM paid him to cretae a small computer to rivasal a computer I believe was called the Apple II. I watched a show on bill gates.

And you'ld never get into it. The way to go is not buying them out but by making sure that they won't use what they have to turn the market against you, in other words use them to help you out if someone else is trying to buy you out and if they turn big then let's just say that would mean i would have POWERFULL FRIENDS!! Friends who wouldn't be too happy about me going away.
As for nintendo, as far as i'm aware they haven't made allies and at the same time they haven't made enemies. Nintendo is always attempting to came up with new ideas to bring their gamers a new level of experiance, The Miis were part of that. Creating your own character and bringing it to the plaza. Bill took that and enchanced it becasue he couldn't be bothered to came up with a way to match nintendo's Mii.
Also WiiWare was first made by nintendo to help out third part develepors, Help them to get into the gaming industry and therefore like i said would be willing to help nintendo. Some of the games i've seen on wiiware but third party is amazing and i wouldn't be surprised if one day one of them comes up with a Halo Beater.
This is more then enough to prove that you don't need to steal to come up with ideas, bill gates and microsoft brought that to the gaming industry, brought out the worst in gaming just like i predicted when the Xbox first came out.
And pyrotails we don't know how WiiSpeak is going to work yet, for all you know it could work with brawl. Not that i would want it to as some people get. . .let's say RUDE when their losing, also Animal Crossing: City Folk looks awesome, it's not wild world but at the same time is bringing brand new stuff including the option to get downloadable content for free, visit gracie grace, talk to each other via WiiSpeak, dress your crosser as a Mii. . .
THERE'S TONS!!
Frontier and Square Enix ( the people behind final fantasy and racket and clank) have both made a game each on there (Lost Winds and FF:My life as a king) which are two of the biggest on wiiware, so their more likely to help nintendo.
And when i see the effort nintendo put into all these new games it makes me sick to see that microsoft are going back to their original job, STEALING. Computer technology would have advanced with or without microsoft, everything advances. Don't pretend to know how the business industry works blaze becasue the truth is you can get far and Nintendo is proof of that, it's why i decided to become an nintendo fan and why i'll remain that way.
Microsoft has attempted to turn the gaming industry into something that has become more of a competition between how can make their game look the prettiest. I COULDN'T CARE LESS IF NIKO BELLOC looks like a real italian european imagrent, All i care about is the gameplay and how long it'll last.
I'm not saying you could put any old cruddy graphics on a game and it'll be good but nowerdays there's FAR too much ephersis on graphics. Even with magazines they make tons of notes on their reviews like "LOOK AT THE GRAPHICS" this started around the time that the first XBOX came around.
I know i have it in for microsoft but this isn't about how much i hate their company, it's about Bill Gate's competative behaviour assuming he can go around arrgontly getting he's own way thinking nobody will notice, the games are good, THEIR BETTER THEN GOOD. So he dosen't even need to!
For one if i was bill i would be happy enough knowing that i made one of the biggest games in the world - HALO!
