The new WiiWare channel is coming to the wii soon, this is going to help up and coming games develepors to become bigger. The gaming company is in charge of everything and nintendo allows them to price it (Fairly though) and place it on WiiWare for Wii owners to download.
Japan already has this, America (Or north america) Are getting it May, 12th and europe is getting this May 20th. Sounds good as a final fantasy game, one from an new company that from the sounds of it is good enough to download and a Homestar runner game called "Strong bad's game for attractive people" (Or SBG4AP)

Technically we are all getting it. Wiiware is going to be added onto the Wii shop channel, so everybody will download it. It's looking good. Really depends on the quality of the games whether I'll get any or not.

I'm not sure what I'll get. I might wait for the reviewing channel coming may 20th to see if I do.
How come we get boring names? America get's WiiWare, we get Wii Software. They get Check Mii Out, we get Mii Contest Channel. They get WiiFit and Mario Kart a week or two later, we haven't even got Brawl yet.

Wiiware is up! Sucks to be all of you not on study leave!!!  Go to the Wii Shop Channel, and the layout is different, with Virtual Console on the left, Wiiware(yay we get the decent name!!!) in the middle and Wii Channels(Everybody votes, Mii contest channel etc.) Avaliable are 6 games: Dr Mario and Germ Buster- 1000 points Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicals: My Life as King-1500 points with that red patented Wii pay logo we discussed(see, I told you it wasn't paying for wifi!) LostWinds- 1000 Star Soldier R- 800 TV show king- 1000 Toki Tori- 900 It's gonna work the same as the Virtual Console, except it's all new and so will use the Wii Remote, Wii Remote and Numchuck but no Gamecube support(though you'll use the Wii remote instead so it's not reallly much of a loss). New games will apparently be posted every 15 days. Get downloading folks! |

sucks to be my brother he wanted to get the pokemon ranch game that is appreantly going to be on WiiWare, it's suppose to be a launch title but IT'S NOT THERE!
Just so i can get FF: My life as a king i'm getting a 2000 wii points card, also just so you know you can also buy more for my life as a king for 1,300 points.

From what I've read you're supposedly allowed to 'trial' the game for 100 points, wherin you can then pay for more races, abilities, costumes etc. And apparently you also get downloadable content-for a price of course. So it does kinda seem like they are just doing everything to get your money. Sound familiar? If you don't want this kinda stuff to keep happening on the Wii, vote with your money and don't pay for em. I'm not gonna buy it, but then again that's because my experience of Final Fantasy is one of overcomplication and not level or get the right skills and you FAIL, so I tend to avoid those games. Tell us if it's any good Timey. Don't forget you can also pay through credit card as well. But because it doesn't accept my card, I have to buy through my parents  |

You play world of warcraft yet you hate leveling up games. I'm getting FF:MYAAK becasue i like the idea of making a town and leveling it up to make it better.
Thats why i have Mysims now on the wii!
If you meant FF games then sorry.
I'm planning on just getting the basic set-up and IF i want to then possibly the extras that cost 1,300 more points (RIP-OFF!)

Levelling up games are great. Just try Final Fantasy 10's levelling system-waaay too complicated. Then my bro got to a boss he couldn't beat. That's what turned me off playing Final Fantasy games. I can understand the skill system in Warcraft. In FFX you had orbs, and to move around this grid you had to spend points to move around the board and then use orbs to level up. It was really too complicated for a newbie, and it turned me off of those games. Still, if it's good enough I'll give it a try. I liked Skies of Arcadia because it was hard, but not so hard that you could fail completly and never pass a certain area. But anyway, how is the game? Or have you bought a 2000 point card that has to come in the post?

The whole "paying for wifi", i did say it was wiiware and that this was not an evil scum of nintendo the only evil scum they have is the "deley brawl to pi$$ timewarp and the whole of europe off" Poor salvador, he was looking forward to playing brawl from he's breaks of cutting people's heads off ----------------------------- i hate games like that where you to a point AND NEVER GET PAST IT! Soon you go insane and ripp the game apart with your bare hands. . . |

that is something that i noticed as well.
the cheapest games are suppose to be 500 wii points but the cheapest is actually 800 (STAR SOLDIER R)
