Title Fight

Title fight will be a game featuring characters from Sony's most beloved franchises fighting each other and yes this does mean Sony has finally given up on being subtly and is out rightly copying Nintendo.

I haven't found that much information and obvously Title Fight is not the final name of the title. I've found a few rumours on the game but it only confirms it's a complete copy as they seem to state that the games's stages are varied on the characters, objects spawn on the screen that hinder or help the player and of course it's set in a 2D Plane.

The problem is I'm not sure if this is going to work out. I mean it sounds great for the PS3 to get it's own version of Smash bros and it'll be great if it means they can iron out the game so that it solves the few problems Smash bros had (who knows Nintendo could always use Sony's game to make the next Smash bros game without the few small problems Brawl had).

But at the same time, is just copying Nintendo really a good idea? In the past Nintendo's been ok with it but I think if they directly copy one of the company's biggest franchises then Nintendo might reconsider their opinion on being copied. There's no issue really with characters (although how do Sony get Crash and Spyro in when they belong to Activision now) and there's a lot of material for stages, items and so on so it's more a case of should they do it rather then can they do it.

If Crash and Spyro are still on the PS3 I am sure they can be used. Actiblizzard might be lame as, but they aren't stupid enough to blow their own foot off not taking a marketing opportunity.

good point, if this game is being made (there's been no confirmation from Sony) then like Smash bros is a homage of everything Nintendo has done so should Sony's version and Crash and Spyro were two of the biggest franchises to appear on a playstation console.

It's just that after certain events it seems weird to team up with Activision over anything, the last people to go into a contract with them were Bungie and they had to have it written in the contract that they keep any IPs they make while working for Activision.

Then there's the fact that Activision have it in for Sony. They've accused them of pricing the PS3 too much which while being true is still hypcritical when they try and sell MW2 in europe for £55 and have Robert Kotick commenting on the controversity as saying he'd charge more then he could which is like if you were put on trial as a sex offender and you responded to the rumours by saying "Well yeah and your never going to stop my reign of terror!"

If Activision hate Sony so much their willing to go against their own ideals just to come up with a stick to beat sony with I'm willing to bet they'd put a high price on Crash and Spyro being in this game.

Don't be as sure. Crash and Spyro not being in the game could jepordise their position in the hierarchry of PlayStation, and after the pounding they've taen with WoW, they might not be able to afford to be pickers if the shareholders fear their coffers might not be as full.

Good point having Crash and Spyro in the game is really a no-brainer, after all like I said this needs to be a homage to Sony and the Playstation to be done right and these are two games that made the playstation the brand it is today.

Agreed. The game needs Crash and Spyro to even consider being worthwhile. However, I don't think Snake will be in it seeing he was in SSBB.

Actually he could still be in the game, Snake is in a position where he can be in both. Kojima's actually more loyal to Sony then you realise, I remember Hideo Kojima didn't want to be involved with MGS Rising because it was coming to the 360.

I am not as sure, people might see that as the owners of Snake trying to cash cow him.
