Don't worry if your opposed there's no plans yet but I reckon this should be made. Imagine how funny it'd be to see a reboot of the film with modern day technology keeping the original title and trying to fit it into the movie.
It'd be great to see it set in the same era as the original because just using the original ideas but trying to make it serious? Come on who here can honestly say they wouldn't want to see that!

I wouldn't - I like me the original. Especially since it was MEANT to be taken seriously.
... Yes, I'll repeat that again, the original was MEANT to be taken seriously. MEANT to be gritty and terrifying. Plus, the terrible movie technology was what made it great. That and the awful writing.
GRAVE ROBBERS FROM OUTER SPACE.
... It's pretty much the movie equivalent of Half-Life: Full Life Consequences. It's only great because it's so bad.

Well the reason it'd be great is that it's a bad idea to begin with. It dosen't matter how much money or good technology or good writing the hollywood producers throw at Plan 9 from Outer Space it wouldn't work and it'd be so funny just to see them attempt it. It'd be like watching someone trying to make a house of cards out of cheesepuffs, it'll never work but you gotta admire the persistance of the idiot trying to make it work.
Anyway why you gotta shoot down all my ideas? It would work. They already made a remake of Invasion of the bodysnatches under the title The Invasion and actually from what I've read about the film the original ignored the whole weapons race apockalypse theme.

Yeah, but the original 'Invasion of the Bodysnatchers' was good.
And sorry if it seems like I shoot down all your ideas, but honestly, this one would probably be pretty bad - Hollywood would probably try to make it a Romcom with Adam Sandler. And as such, it wouldn't be funny, just sort of painful. Like having a kidney stone removed.
Sometimes things are best left... Y'know, not remade. Something a lot of uncreative people seem to forget these days.

Not really. You know not to be rude but I wasn't excactly being serious so it's a bit annoying to have you just shoot it down like this.

Oh, sorry, I actually thought you were being serious. My bad. Sometimes I have difficulty translating meaning from computer text. >_<
Anyway, great to see you watched it (And by the seem of it, enjoyed it)! Sorry again about being a jerk there.

It's the second greatest movie ever made, just behind Troll 2

I think it tops Troll 2 to be honest.
