Far North, Well removed from the major byways that cross the most hospitable lands of Faerun, Lies Frozen Narfell of Thay Mountain. Thay is a desolate wasteland of ice and snow, buffeted by raging storms. Nomadic tribes prowl the countryside in search of resources and supplies, taken from the herds they follow or the people they meet.
In the small town of Pyrados which resides on Thay lived three would-be adventurers Lev Malkav, Bunki Eamane sister to Lev Malkav, and a nameless assassin. Each of them all had different histories on how they came to live in Pyrados. On a clear looking day the adventurers are called before the council of elders where they are told a powerful artifact was stolen called it the Tact al Nu Ka. The thief was seen escaping out heading towards the City of Eltabbar. The elders plead to the adventurers to set out after him and they accept their request. escorted to the exit of the town and given the best supplies the town could spare at this moment the adventurers set off through the frozen tundra towards Eltabbar.
Night falls quick on the adventurers as well as a terrible storm which threatened their life’s if they stayed outside for much longer. Fortunately Lev Malkav managed to spot a Black Tower through the thickness of the storm and signalled to his companions there was shelter ahead. The adventurers freezing knock on the door of the tower a few times and get no reply so the assassin takes the liberty to “let himself in” with some of his fancy picklocking skills.
The inside of the tower was a small room with a warm sofa and a fireplace infront, a few scattered bookcases on the walls and a table with scriptures but no sign of the owner around.
