Before you read any further please note that this is not a quiz type thread, or I would've placed it there. It's a short meditation that you get to realise what your inner anmal is. Since it has nothing to do with Magick I am going on the assumption that it's alright to post it, however if people feel disturbed by it then I will delete this post. I have a list of the most common animals and their descriptions with me but I won't post them so people can't just choose which animal they want! The following text will be the technique.
First of all find yourself a place where you can be calm and where you feel at peace with the things around you, my bedroom usually does it for me. If neccessary I put on a calming soundtrack like a celtic chant or a rainforest soundtrack. Assume a position you feel comfortable in and close your eyes. Try to clear your mind of all thought. (If you have trouble doing this I have another basic technique which can help, PM me if you need it.) Now imagine yourself in a beautiful garden, nobody else is in this garden - this is your garden. There are trees where birds nest and a small stream that runs past where you are sitting. You can hear the sound of the birds; you can feel the warm suhn on your face; you can feel the refreshing coolness of the water against your toes and hear the soft gurgling of it too. You move over and look into the stream, you can see your reflection in the water. You stare at your reflection and you see that the reflection is changing, from human to animal form. What animal is reflected there? That is your inner animal.
