has anybody heard of this? It's a brand new gaming engine and it the most realistic i've ever seen, at the moment the only two gaming companies to use this are LucasArts and rockstar.
Euphoria is a game animation engine created by NaturalMotion based on Dynamic Motion Synthesis, NaturalMotion's proprietary technology for animating 3D characters on-the-fly "based on a full simulation of the 3D character, including body, muscles and motor nervous system".
Instead of using predefined animations, the characters' actions and reactions are synthesized in real-time; they are different every time, even when replaying the same scene. While traditional physics engines uses ragdolls (like the Havok Physics Engine) for animations generated on the fly, Euphoria employs a more complex method to animate the entirety of physically-bound objects within the game environment
At the moment it's being used in GTA IV, Indiana jones (only for 360 and PS3) and PS3 and 360 versions of Star wars: The Force Unleashed.
The ending result means that every action results in a different effect, characters are more aware of their surrondings (meaning stormtroopers in SW:TFU will try and cling onto surrondings when being force pushed)
