the new doctor who game SUCKS! it's s fricken top trumps game, when i saw the picture of the doctor on the new games master magazine i excepted some kind of platform puzzle adventure game, instead it's top trumps RUBBISH!

and the most insulting thing is the magazine gave this a better rating then pokemon battle revolution (40%)

i'm a hard core doctor who fan and a hard core pokemon fan and while pokemon battle revolution looks like a great game to me, this doctor who game is more of an insult to the whole sci-fi franchise.

it's annoying when games like pokemon get put down because of the people who rate them. i know because the same people rate games like halo 3 which get ridiculos scores like 99%

AND HALO FANS, what does halo 3 (apeart from that god mode) REALLY do that halo 2 didn't?

i know halo 3 is a good game but every freakin FPS is a good game, they all do the same!!!!

yes it may seem like i'm going off topic but such a good program like doctor who deserves a much better game then the one their making, the only people that WOULD like this are little kids and i'm sick and tired of having baby games on my DS and WII

How can this beat a pokemon game, with all 493 pokemon in 3-D AND with WiFi and with good graphics and awesome realistic battles.

i have no idea, but there bigging up this piece of crud, having doctor who on the front cover with

"DOCTOR WHO, TOP TRUMPS OFFICIAL VIDEO GAME"

FIRST, they go on and on about how good halo 3 is

NEXT, they say about how the cruddy 360 is superior to the other two consuls in all ways (A COMPLETE LIE!)

THEN, they insult pokemon and big up such an insulting game

i'm not trying to be overall dramatic but sometimes games master seems like it's trying to put me off buying it.

maybe if it was a proper doctor who game i would like it (and if it didn't involve card games)

I had an idea bout different chapters and then going round as doctor who solving mysteries and then killing bad guys and having missions and having to escape from places.

Well, technically, you wouldn't be killing the enemies as such, because the Doctor don't do that.
At least, directly.
Which I think makes him quite an awesome hero!


Anyhow, the truth is, they could have made a great game outta Doctor Who, but I suppose, since Doctor Who is only a British thing, it wouldn't sell in America, so nobody would want to make a very big game about it.
Heroes though, being an international success, is likely to be an action game. Yay!


Anyhow, I think the reason for them marking down the Pokemon Battle Revolution, is because despite it's awesome graphics, but lame gameplay, unless you can transport your own Pokemon to it from Pearl and Diamond.
Same story for Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 - You could describe it as an add-on for the handheld games.

Just goes to show - Game reviewers don't know nothing!

I'm not going to go into Halo 3, but I can tell you that the 9.9 reviews are justified. I do understand why they didn't like PBR. It's simple-it's a 3d pokemon battle arena. That's it. Nothing else. No story, no characters-just battling. Now if that's what you want-great. If however you want something with more depth then you won't like it. And obviously the reviewers don't want a 3d pokemon battle arena. It lacks any story, any depth and that's why it got bad ratings. They aren't huge pokemon fans who would want to spend hours just playing the handheld games in 3d(without the storyline or moving around part). If however you like that, then good. I think you'll find your arguement is heavily biased because you want a 3d battle arena. On the other side however, they are also heavily biased because they probably don't want a 3d battle arena. I think a fair and unbiased judgement of PBR is that it's a 3d pokemon battling arena where you can battle random strangers over wifi. Nothing more, nothing less. If you want that, buy it. If you don't, don't.

Dr who probably wouldn't make a very good game, and the card game idea is just taking it down a very safe route. TV/movie to game conversions are usually horrible as are game to tv/movies. And seeming as the Dr doesn't actually kill anything using conventional weaponry of any sort, it would probably not make a very good game. Now I know you're going to disagree with me, and I would really love to hear your ideas on how you would make it work(no sarcasm there, I really would like to know)

To put a simple judgement on it, I knew friom the moment it was announced it was going to be bad, becasuse often things never live up to expectations.
Also, it's a top trumps game, but an actual Doctor Who game. That's it's downfall.
So yeah, it's gonna be bad, but it was kind'a odvious when they announced it was gonna be top trumps.

Also, game reviewing is based entirely on opinion.
So I wouldn't pay much attention to reviewers.
