I say just wait for her reply. Allow her time to come to terms with what you just said. Don't push too hard - It can damage valuable friendships.

I'd say go with the flow or some but that would sound corny. Truly if she likes you for who you are then run with it. That's what I do (Although that's only gotten me as far as really good friends. I'm of the school that anything below age 21 is likely puppy love and likely won't last due to the dynamics of the whole teenage period which can last until your 18 to death in theory.)
My brain juices are burning again.

When my boyfriend told me he loved me I didn't believe him until he proved it. Since everyone is different I'm not sure how you can prove it though.... Love is something that needs to have a continuous flow of essence and longing as well as security and friendship, show her you are devoted as a friend as well as a lover, and show her your patient... Because she knows if you love her your willing to wait...
Meh, I have been going out with my boyfriend for a year and a half now, and he hasn't failed to prove himself... I believe you can do it too... (If any of that makes sense)

Personally, I think that you can fall in love, even at school. There is simple crush-love, which is hormones raging, but there is also real love - Pure love. Love for who the person is, not for what they look like. Such love will mean that you would do anything for the welfare of that person - Regardless of the peril to yourself. Love so strong, you'd sacrifice everything. And to be honest, simply not going out because people would make fun of you is, sorry to say this, but a bit of a feeble excuse. If one was truly in love, they wouldn't give a dang for what anyone said, and in fact, would shove a mouthful of abuse down the throat of anyone who insulted the girl. If insults is enough to put someone off going out with another, then that love is simply a crush - Nothing more. Uh... If any of what I just said makes sense.

I do believe that you can find true love during high school but I believe its unlikely. The chances that the perfect person for you happens to have gone to the same school with you for your whole life is a bit of a long shot. Also I always like to bring up, when somebody says there is that perfect person somewhere out there, that in fact records show that there are more women than men on earth. So if your a man there is likely the perfect someone. If your a women... you got jipped.
