Well, there's a couple of problems which I can see with your idea...
1 - Close range, Valritron AREN'T slow. Using fast processors, and strong metchanics, they are easily able to match the speed of a master swordsman. Proof of this is in 'Dante In The Future', where one outfights Dante. And they aren't easily distracted.
2 - Valritron armour is a substance called Shadowphroxis (Shadow-Fer-Ox-Iss), and is unbreakable and unmovable by any creature in the universe. In fact, there is only one being that can wield it...
3 - I'm not even gonna say. I'll reveal it on DFD.
... Just a few problems.
ALTHOUGH... I gotta say, I like the Ornitron!
Pretty cool, pretty darn cool, and at the VERY least more than a match for most tools of the Valritron.
... But uh, I kinda need to ask something.
Can you try NOT to start trying to create machines that are somehow able to fight the Valritron directly, okay?
It... Kinda belittles them.
And it belittles quite a few characters, who are unable to fight them.
So uh, try to draw your attention AWAY from the Valritron for a little bit, okay? They represent pretty invincible enemies.
Enemies which only leave your characters the choice of retreat...
Or death.
There's only one being, which I designed, capable of matching a Valritron's power...
So, try not to form Valritron-fighting clubs.
Afterall, how'd you feel if I created a being that commanded your 'Powers That Be'?
Still, don't get me wrong, I love the design of this machine, seriously!
I just... Well, I'm a bit picky about certain things.
Hopefully, we can get to see the Ornitron, in the RPG I will one day hopefully make...
One set in the future, similar to a post-Apocalypse.
(And no, I didn't steal the idea from Juggernaut. I have proof that I didn't - Hazard is a designated character in the Valritron story!)
