3 MILLION DOLLARS!
What a joke! I'd never pay 3 million dollars for a PS3, or any other games console for that matter. Why couldn't they just wait?

I think the company is getting desperate, because they lose money for everytime they keep it back, and tons of game companies are refusing to make games for them...

Sony are ebign beaten in everything. They are now trying to focus on thier game consoles, but they lsoing 100 dollars per console because it takes 700 dolalrs to make and tey selling at 600 dollars. \The more they sell the less money they have. A bit stupid if you ask me

Their problem is they aren't focussing on the games anymore. Take a look at the PS3. Video player and camera and mp3 player etc. Those aren't essential, but they push the price up. Their trying to make the PS3 into a multimedia home entertainment system, and driving up the price. They should have stuck with just making a console for games, like the PS1 and 2.

Not necessarily pt i mean the s3's gizmo's make it expensive, but a pc ican do msot of that and it not that much. The ps3 is expensive becuase it has a processor eqaul to a super compuer to do each bit of it. hat boost the price. without that it woudl be i dunno abou 300 odd. xbox 360 price.
Also the ps2 and even the ps3 weren't solel game consoles. ps1 could play mic and ps2 dds and music

Yeah, but those were add-ons. Those were for games. You don't need a HD DVD player to play final fantasy do you?

The problem with Blu-ray? 1) they're having problems with it 2) It contains so much data that the makers of the games have to put more in so they don't make as many games. 3) The disks are probably more expensive. More expensive means that you can't get many games( but you'd have to be stinking rich to be able to get a PS3 if you were our age-or saved forever- so money may not be such a big problem.)
