Who Would Win?

I was watching this video on youtube where they have live action battles between two fictional characters and they had Wolverine pitted off against Batman and well they had Wolverine winning a little too easily for my taste.

To be honest I'm a bit of a Marvel fan but having watched tons of Batman, I'd like to think The Dark Knight could put up a little bit more of a fight then he did.

So who would win in a fight? Batman or Wolverine? Basically put down the two people your pitting against one another place descriptions (no missing out crucial information to edge people on) about the two people and let the people decide.

First we have Batman or Bruce Wayne. Playboy billionaire, has a giant array of weapons to fight with such as batarangs, batclaw, smoke pellets, thick body armor and so on. He's trained in combat and has quite a lot of experience in fighting bad guys. He's fought immortal enemies in the past. Batman is a tactical fighter, he plans everything out, never leaving a stone unturned. He has he's issues but most of the time tries not to let them get to him, he refuses to fight with guns.

Then we have Wolverine, he's invincible and has more experience then Batman actually fighting. This is a man who's been alive since before the first world war so Logan's been in a lot of actual wars hence giving him a certain edge. Wolverine makes use of he's claws as well as he's healing factor to do most of he's fighting for him, it's a lot harder to get rid of Wolverine's claws then it is to rid Batman of he's tools. Wolverine is also prone to be headstrong and to rush into a fight without knowing who he's up against, he's sense of smell means Batman can't sneak up on him but he is well known in Marvel comics to just attack and has easily been duped before.

So who would win? My opinion is that Wolverine if he got the chance would win but he's going against a character who would never give him that chance.

Rules (I hate them but just so it's a lot clearer, think of them as guidelines)
1 - Both characters can't be from the same franchise (again...guidelines)
2 - To make it clearer post a small description of each character
(if you think it's not needed that's cool)
3 - People vote on whoever won, the character with the most votes wins
4 - Try to keep calm over the battles, it's just a little bit of fun so no need to start arguments

Thing is, Wolverine's used to people just blowing crap up, because really, that seems to be how most X-Men fight.
And fair enough, they generally have enough power to get away with that, but it means most of Wolverine's fights are generally won on stamina. As such, he would be totally unprepared for Batman's style of combat.

First off, sense of smell - Easy one. Batman's fought dozens of foes with similar abilities. Killer Croc, I believe, also has this trait. The problem with a good sense of smell? Can't turn it off. All he needs to do is set off some strong amonia, and Wolverine's sense of smell will just be a distraction. Sense of hearing, same basic thing - Batman could just use something akin to a dog whistle, have Wolverine writhing on the ground before the fight even started. Not sure if Wolverine's got better vision, but if he does, a flash grenade will make short work of that.

And actually, the healing factor is actually completely to Batman's benefit. Think about it, Batman NEVER kills, so he's always holding back. Wolverine can't die, or at least, can't die very easily. This means Batman could safely use lethal force (Which he is trained in, he was actually tutored prior to becoming Batman by an extremely-skilled assassin, one who also trained the most skilled fighter in DC), without fear of killing.

Adamantium claws are tricky, but hey - The guy has repeatedly contained CLAYFACE, a superstrong shapeshifter with no vital organs and the ability to melt flesh into protoplasmic goop. I'm pretty sure containing someone with unbreakable claws would be relatively easy. In fact, I'm pretty sure he's dealt with numerous unbreakable alloys before.

And even if Batman DIDN'T have time to prepare, if Wolverine just burst the heck outta nowhere, the man's an accomplished escape artist who MASTERED escaping traps. Outrunning Wolverine would be hard, but not the hardest thing he's had to do, and he sees no shame in escaping a battle, evaluating his enemy, then swooping back in and beating the tar out of him. So, unless Wolverine's got the X-Men with him, he's seven different flavours of screwed.

Wolverine's biggest weakness though? Emotional. Extremely, ridiculously emotional. The sort of emotional that causes you to jump at someone, flailing wildly and screaming. Now, this works against people like Toad, Blob, etc., but Batman? He's not above using an insult to provoke a foe into blind rage. And if that happens, he's going to notice a sloppy, poorly-coordinated attack, and he'll use it to make sure it's your last for about ten to twenty. Or however long until the X-Men pay Wolverine's bail due to plummeting comic sales.

Hand-to-hand mano e mano, Wolverine WOULD win, but Batman would make sure to take him out before he got the chance to get near enough.



Against Deadpool on the other hand, Batman would be defeated in a humourous fashion. But hey, he's Deadpool, he'd probably just steal all the furniture in Wayne Manor and run, leaving only an I.O.U. to Christian Bale. Because that's the guy Deadpool IS.

Wow. Exactly what I was thinking 100%. If you watch the video Haunter they do on Live Action Battles they do Batman no justice what so ever, he punches Wolverine a bit, uses a smoke pellet on him and then gets stabbed to death. Also most of the time Wolverine is actually tricked and captured by being provoked. Well it wasn't done by actual skill but down to a vote for Live Action Battles so clearly they have more Marvel fans. I'm more of a Marvel fan but come on really? Wolverine Vs Batman? Wolverine clearly doesn't stand a chance.

within the world of Marvel, Wolverine actually stands less of a chance. I remember reading this comic where this AIM Soldier (Terrorist organization and this Haunter was just a normal guy nobody special) defeated wolverine by using the same type of metal as Wolverine's claws as body armor and popping a plastic explosive into Wolverine's mouth. Just thought if we're thinking in terms of Marvel then what would stop somebody as rich as Bruce Wayne from buying a stockpile of Adamantium. Also I want to see a Deadpool/Batman crossover. Actually it should just be Deadpool versus and pit Deadpool up against tons of fictional characters.

Wait a minute you once said all the Marvel character couldn't beat Cthulhu? Well to be fair the other Marvel characters would be too stubborn to let Deadpool help them.

Plus, they'd only hold him back with their icky personal lives.

It's so funny though, my favourite Deadpool moment is when he meets Daredevil and there's just this moment where Daredevil in pondering why the hell he was dumb enough to team up with Deadpool while Deadpool is mocking Typhoid Mary (One of Daredevil's main enemies) to come out and fight him.
