Boffin: Actually, if that explosion destroyed EVERYTHING, then there would no crystals for you to eat, and you inevitably suffocate anyway. As for creating edible crystal, you need matter to begin with in order to make something - You can't summon matter out of nowhere, according to the laws of physics. Finally, the LAST thing you'd want to do in the cold, empty, vacuum of space is hold your breath, or have oxygen stored in your body. This is due to the vacuum, which sucks gases out of your body preeeeeeeetty quickly, inevitably causing internal damage. In fact, it's been scientifically proven that exhaling in a vacuum will allow the average person to last five minutes longer than they would otherwise.
