I absolutly love both Paper Mario games, they are so awesome. Bowser, Grodus and the Shadow Queen are all excellent (if a little weak) bosses, and they both have one of the funniest and best storylines ever.

I've never played the the first one, but I LOVE The Thousand-Year Door. ^_^ Great game - excellent even! It reminds me so much of Super Mario RPG:Legend of the Seven Stars. I suppose that's why I love it so much. I like enemies that are new and original- which the Paper Mario games have!

What I think is excellent about them is the contrast between 2-d and 3-d, absolutly suprerb, and the Shadow Queen is the best boss ever.

the characters are all excellently portrayed and the matches are fun to play and don't seem to get repetitive. also the audience part really adds to the gameplay

The first one is great, but really compared to the second it's too small. I mean they're both just as great as the other but PM2 lasts longer is all, and Shadow Queen is cooler than Bowser (just)

yeah, but i bet you haven't got to the bottom of the pit of 100 trials. bonetail's way harder than her(but still kinda easy cos you get exp. along the way)

You exp along the way yes, but it soon withers down while you're fighting, and Bonetail has 200 HP too the Shadow Queens 150

I plan to do Bonetail when I can. ^_^ I'm lvl..*thinks*...if I remrmber correctly, I'm at lvl 36. Well, at least I think. XD
What's funny is that I kept playing on the Pit of 100 Trials BEFORE getting the Bomb-omb village. I got lost and...*laughs*...thought I was supposed to go down there first. So, I got strong enough to beat 94 trials - almost there! And when I figured out I was lost, I went on the right track. So the Shadow Queen was MUCH easier since I made that little mistake. XD
