We had the whole what was your character's name based on. Now what was your characters inspiration. For Mechanos I base him off an enemy in dungeon siege Legends of Aranna. I posted a picture in my character list recently so I won't repost it here. But an image I found later while surfing the net became what He currently looks like in my minds eye

He essentially went from a clockwork mech that was built around beating its opposition with sheer strength to a much more agile (and higher teck as he has no clockwork any more in my mind's eye) android that can still overpower its opponent but is better at out manuevring them instead. I might also add their were a few other things that went into his creation. The God Steel Skeleton and Nanite repair actually came from Wolverine of the X-Men comics. The wrist mounted guns came from the super battle droid from the Star Wars prequels. The Reptillian form is actually a tribute to one of my favorite character types to make: The lizard man. The ability to roll into a ball while in reptillian mode and still fire his guns comes from a talk me and a couple of friends had on how the many characters battle drolids of star wars could be improved. Mainly the Droideka (Destroyer Droid). Obviously the whole sword fighting thing is jedi stuff. And the last inspiration for him came from Marvin the Paranoid Android. If you read the whole Hitchhikers Guide series then you would have gotten the whole living through multiple universes thing. Marvin was sent back in time multiple times and essentially became the oldest thing in existance. But the other feature that isn't as obvious is that both Mechanos and Marvin have a planet sized mind in a parallel dimension. I used that mostly because it would explain how he can remember everything from every universe. It also lead right into the whole bullet time ability since with that much RAM he could run at near infinite speeds and thus could essentially make everything in his view point appear to slow down. Of course he doesn't speed up any but he can react almost before the event happens.
boy that was long winded.
