I think we should have a thread devoted to Livechat. Here you can post timings you'll be on livechat so as to help friends know what times you can be on livechat. We'll always know the times someone will be online and therefore won't have to wait and take a guess.
If you don't want to post your timings then the choice is completly up to you since I am a normal member and have no authority over anyone but I think if Livechat is to work then the site really needs a thread like this.

Need a better chat interface over Java tbh... I'll see what I can find. Something which can join the IRC network etc.

I think FM5 used livechat because it was free for the site via proboards though if you could find a better one she'd proberly appreciate it.

I like the Live Chat and basically, if I'm online then I'm on livechat.
Except for if i'm the only one online.

its fine. Its just it logs you out and is buggy as hell.

Yeah, mine was just with my connection.
The maximum I get is two bars, but it is mostly 1 bar.
But, if you can find anything, go for it.
And LAG!
OMG! The amount I could not see my posts coming up and I was like, OMG are people getting my posts.
Then they would all come (and yours) in a barrage and swamp me to death.

Most of the time I have full bars though my computer does this annoying thing when it can just cut off and refuse to connect
It can be annoying I know but I think at the moment unless Liquidsonic finds something there dosen't appear to be any alternative

Iv found the chat thing but it would require a bit of tinkering which id just rather not contend with.

lol.. a BETTER chat client... installing it into the website + setting up channels etc is too troublesome ;d.
