I rode towards the motorway taking the quickest route i could. I had to get to Thanet and get there fast .If i didn't he'd leave and go twenty miles in another direction which could include a lot of arduous travel. Plus i had to work out where the Gate of the West was. "I have a feeling this is going to be a long week."
end of chapter two.

Chapter 3: The gate to the west I rode across hills and roads and over dales and motorways. I had advanced 30 miles and had become exhausted. I laid down on a soft hillock and tried to get a short sleep. I couldn’t stop for too long. I had to catch Dominic and cure myself of this disease or at least learn to control it. After half an hour he managed to fall asleep, but it was not a dream he had this time it was a nightmare. Bullies were beating up a poor defenseless child. There were ten of them, but suddenly they stopped and fell to their knees and then they fell forwards with cuts all over them. Standing a few metres away was a boy who Shayne recognized immediately though he wished he hadn‘t. It was himself. He screamed. Yet not just in the dream because the air was pierced by his screams as he woke up. I rode through a town and rode past a TV shop. I stopped as I heard a voice say. “Ten kids mysteriously die.” I stared at the screen as it showed pictures of ten boy’s dead. “These ten dies of cuts. The murderer unknown.” I recognized the bodies immediately. They were the one’s from my dreams, but this report was coming from Scotland. How could he be responsible. “Dominic what have you done to me?”
