You know what I just realised? In Bioshock, Andrew Ryan talks about how the parasite expects to be healed for free except there's no country where you could get that kind of service. The closest one matching the description is the NHS (National Health Service) which requires you to be a legal citizen of the United Kingdom which requires you to pay tax towards the UK Government (a portion of which goes towards paying for the NHS).
Andrew Ryan lived for a brief period in the US meaning he would have been on the US Government's health service which at the time would have worked via health insurance designed to help people pay costs but you still pay for health insurance. Basically Andrew Ryan is either an idiot or blowing the situation out of proportion since most health insurance companies started up in the 1940s. The closest thing to free healthcare is ObamaCare and that started last year.

Hey, TW!
Remember how I said I wanted to do the top 10 things for you personality wise?
I've thought of 10!
1) Your honesty! Let's all be honest, TW, you are honest and that's an amazing asset to have as a friend. 2) Your creativity You're doing games design so that's a big example of your creativity. Not to mention I've seen your character designs. I really like Timewarp and Kaplan especially - Tucker too. 3)Your sense of justice You know what's right, and you'll fight for it. 4)Your writing skills They've definitely improved. Be honest, TW, you've gotten a lot better than you used to be. 5) Your artistic skills You've drawn Timewarp before and it blew anything I could do out of the water. 6) Your sense of humour You're incredibly funny Timewarp. You come out with some funny things at the best times and I've pissed myself laughing in some moments 7) Your intelligence There are some things you cite and know about that I've never heard of. Enough said. 8) Your loyalty You've never left The Light Castle in all the years you've been here. You've stuck by it through everything. 9) Your brilliance with video games You're a better gamer than I am. I have to keep playing on Easy. 10) Your own resilience I can imagine you've been through quite a lot with all your difficulties. The fact that you're an ambassador for people with similar problems makes you an admirable person.
And there's ten!
Super Special Awesome Timewarp!

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me with this. Think of 10 things you like about yourself. It's not for research, I'm just curious. I'll see what I come up with. 1). My imagination - same as Amy 2). My clairvoyance 3). My ability to feel auras 4). My eyes - I think its my best physical quality 5). My ability to get along with anyone I meet 6). My honesty 7). My loyalty to those I love 8). My ability to understand others 9). My artistic/writing style 10). My ability to survive difficult circumstances Hmmm... Interesting. I see what you're saying, Timewarp. That's why I chose what I know is my best qualities - even my eyes I have been massively complimented on by customers at work and stuff because my eyelashes are naturally long that when I put on my eye makeup afterward everyone thinks they are so beautiful that they must be FAKE. XD They are always proven wrong, though. ;] And things like honesty, etc is more or less things I've heard all my life. I think everyone around me generally knows how I feel about them. :3 Surviving difficult times/situations is also a proven. Otherwise I would be dead. O.o But other stuff is things I do like about me. Not everyone knows what they like about themselves immediately when you're asked, it takes some thought actually to make a list like that. Especially if the technique of self-love isn't your best ability. Which I think several of us here have. Truly. But maybe we all should make lists of what we all like about each other, too? There may be things we see in others that the person doesn't. :3 So, I agree with Amy to do that. ^^

I'm glad you all liked what I did.
I just thought that it wasn't fair that TW didn't get a list so I made one for him ^^
Now, what does everyone think everyone else's top 10 lists are?

I want to make top 10 lists for y'all now. Don't know why I said y'all... XD Just bear in mind they're not in any particular order. FM5: 1) You've always given me good advice 2) You're a good leader 3) You're kind 4) You're a survivor 5) You write amazing stories 6) Your characters are great 7) You're great at drawing 8) From what I can remember you had an awesome voice 9) I agree on the eye thing. They're pretty nice. :3 10) You're my Shadowrougeopallibra sista. CS Revolked: 1) You've always been someone I can talk to about pretty much everything 2) We've got quite similar interests 3) It was always so fun whenever I was around yours for your birthday 4) You're the first online friend I ever met up with 5) We've been there for each other through all the teenage ups and downs 6) Always loved playing Uno with you on MSN (that stupid orange player though... grr...) 7) Your laugh is great 8) You've always been so kind to me 9) Your sensitivity 10) You take pride in how grammatically correct you are - like me! Timewarp: 1) Just want to say that your dog Jessie dragging herself around is still one of my funniest memories 2) You want to be a games designer - AWESOME! 3) You want to follow a dream you've had for ages, and I still stand by what I said a while back - go for it and don't let no-one or nothing stop you! 4) You're ridiculously funny 5) You make great characters 6) While you may not be grammatically correct, the way you write your entries are really compelling, fun and interesting 7) You're a friend of Haunter, and his friends tend to be really awesome 8) You've really improved with your anger management and I can't actually remember the last time I saw you have an outburst 9) You've overcome your weaknesses and you've become a great person as a result (and somewhat of an inspiration for me) 10) You've got a great voice for voice acting (I still remember you voicing the Pizza God - that was awesome!) I'll write something for Haunter later, because he's my brother and he sucks.

Well part of why I'm finding it hard is that the games engines are so hard to use, I swear I've seen professional coming across the same problems as me, you know Bioshock Infinite? Irrational were having the same problem were UDK demands that you rebuild light mass every five seconds which is like Ken Levine's people you're trying to use build levels using realistic lighting takes forever.
When I say realistic lighting I mean the pattern, shading and so on appear based on the light source and how big it is so a lamp doesn't give off the same amount of light as say a floodlight. But yeah it's cool to hear people think I'm great, I've never been all that good at the self complimenting and again it's not that I'm depressed or anything I've just always been afraid of becoming an egotist.

There is a huge difference between something akin to narcissism and self-loving. If you don't give yourself a pat on the back every now and then, you'll just never give yourself any rewarding feelings that you deserve sometimes. And if you love yourself too much... Well, it's just as destructive.
I like the lists. :3 I don't have a specific order either.
Timewarp: 1). Loyal to the core - CS made a great point how you have always stuck by this forum in good and bad times, and not to mention you still stayed even after prior punishments from me before you became a Super Moderator. You didn't deny the problems you were having and made even better efforts to be a good friend here. And you and I have become far closer than I had expected when we met. I just love you now. :3
2). Technologically savvy - whatever it is, if it has technology at topic, you are THE GO TO GUY of the forum! I'm seriously impressed by how much knowledge you tend to have on media. I'm not always that responsive to things, but when you talk about something more in depth I'm totally hooked. You just present yourself beautifully!
3). Smart as a whip - like truly, you gotta be one of the most brightest people I know. If I sat at a table with you, I'd probably be so quiet because I'd fear I'd look stupid in comparison. XD
4). Sensitive - under all that knowledge, there is a soft side. I like this side a lot, I can relate to it, and I like how it comes out when people are sad or suffering near or far. That is a wonderful quality to show empathy along with your intelligence, my friend.
5). Imaginative - now everyone has some imagination amongst us, but you have a different spin on it. It can be random like something out of sci-fi, but it shows in your writings and art, and I like seeing what in out-of-this-world you come up with!
6). Family oriented - not everyone gets along with their family, but you still love them despite it all. I'd go as far to say you love them more than they could ever love you from what I have heard.
7). Dreamer - you have a dream to create your games! What's NOT awesome about that? :3
8). Passionate about your ideals - there's a difference between having an idea and being passionate about an idea. You, sir, have passion gushing out of every sentence! When you make your opinion and knowledge clear, there is also the strong feelings behind what you say. And might I add, you are VERY compelling.
9). Responsible - I find you to be very responsible. Here at the forum you took care of our home by cleaning up the spam and getting rid of the trash(that being said spammers). In life, you mentioned you had a mentally ill cousin and family you look out for. If that's not responsible, I don't know what is.
10). Last but not least, that humor! Not only are you quick with a smart joke, but you can be absolutely spontaneous with random mess that is just hilarious more often than not! I know it's something you probably think you have, but it is true. You're funny! And I think that humor will be seen in your gaming when you get to it. ^^
Oh wow... What a long list. O.o I'll work on Tymki and CS next time. Getting late for meeeee.

I just want to point out that my sister is not mentally ill, that was my cousin. Just that sometimes my sister comes on this and she might be a little peeved off if she thought I was telling my friends she was mentally ill. Still thanks FM5. Also my cousin came down recently and actually she's doing fine now,
my uncle and aunt thought she had Bipolar disorder and I'm not sure if it's a case of maybe my cousin having problems at school that she wasn't telling anyone about (My theory was she was being bullied over her weight and was refusing to tell her parents) but still it was great to see her doing so well. I don't see her much but I mean you know what it's like with family, even when they frustrate you it's still not great to see them in a bad state.

I totally just edited my post. Sorry TW's sister! I got it backwards! XD
Anyway...
You see my point. :3
And actually my own sister is bipolar. It's not an easy thing to deal with if your cousin has it, but support and understanding goes a long way to help. I'm glad you can be there for her when you do see each other.

Well I don't see her much to be honest but yeah from what I've heard bipolar disorder is a horrible thing to go through, I've heard people with the disorder have days when their totally fine and then days when it can just become too much for them to handle.

That is exactly how it is. Shelley has more illnesses than I can count by this period, but she's battled her bipolar disorder all her life. There are days when it is constant ups and downs in her energy and mood.
She was diagnosed with Rapid Cycle bipolar. If she gets into an angry mood, I just come back like in 15mins and she's cool. Or she'll feel like doing something one minute and then just go splat in her bed the next. It was very hard for her when holding her retail job at Best Buy. I just watched her at work some days thinking she would snap and kill some people. XD
Yeeeeeah. It's a trip, for sure. :[

It's a shame since like with a lot of mental disabilities and disorders there's not a whole lot of information on the subject and the media doesn't help when they push this idea that all mentally ill/disabled people are dangerous lunatics or that there's some kind of quick fix or cure for it.
For a lot of cases there is no cure. It's just something you have to get used to, hopefully the media improves a lot on this as well as the insane Transphobia it pushes from time to time. It's like the media is being run by a racist granddad, yes that's right granddad you thought they were a girl but their a transgender person please stop asking them what their junk looks like!
Since all transgender people are just trying to trick us according to Granddad Media.

Yeaaaaah, unfortunately there is no quick fix. But that goes for a LOT of things. ^^'
Oh! I was thinking... Since we all seem to have serious problems at times, I'm considering making a child board for just discussing those issues in this section of the General board. Might be very good to have support with things. Anything really that concerns us/new members.
And it helps keep it in a nice and neat area in case you ever want to review.update topics that have no 'quick fix'. :3
