I hope they make all the JRR Toklien books movies. From what i've read, the Samarillian is interesting. The Hobbit should definitely be made into a movie too. ^_^

Yes, I've heard the rumors from awhile back, Blaze. I heard them a little after RoTK came to theaters. XD

Hey, Link, almost all of your posts are considered spam. Follow the rules... I like this series a lot too. I think the elves are the coolest. Legolas is SO hot.

Whoa, some heading biting. And I thought it was good to come into this thread - guess not. Yep, good 'ol JRR Tolkein. He was the best author out there, ya' know? I remember reading all these books a long time ago before the movies came out. I was into it then. When the movies came, I was even MORE into it. LotR rocks. My favorite character in the books is Sam. He's very loyal and compassionate for his friend Frodo. Of course, Frodo is awesome too. I just thought Sam's attitude was very, very good. Tolkein did good building that character. In the movies, my favorite characters are Frodo and Sam. Yep, Sam's back for another vote. But, I really enjoyed watching Frodo be taken by the Ring and eventually withstand with the help of Sam. Good, good, good!

That reminds me, I need to read The Fellowship of the Ring. I read the other two, but I didn't get a chance to read the first since SF7 was in the middle of it. XD Afterall, the books tell more than the movies.
Like... *thinks* Oh! Like in The Two Towers book, I remember there was a lot it told that the movie didn't. Like the strange drinks that Orcs ingest are actually acid hot! I mean, yeeeeeouch! XD And in Return of the King it explained how Faramir and Eowyn got married. Things like that. It actually explains everything in depth though, so its really interesting. Maybe I'll get the extended versions of TLotR so I can see some of that cool stuff. XD

me too. though i reckon they hsoudl have made it into six films becuase the orignal books were six of them. That wya they coudl make each two-three hours long so they could put in more detail. The first would of been way better if they had added in the old forest and the last if they had added the war to regain the shire.
